HAYLEY & DAVID – WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT THE RUNNYMEDE ON THAMES, LONDON
“You make my heart feel like it’s summer”.
And it was precisely on a beautiful summer day in June when Hayley and David finally became Mr and Mrs Hill. There are so many stories behind their photos, and most of all, so much love!
Scroll to the bottom of this post for the list of wedding vendors and for a little video with the highlights that you don’t want to miss.
I met the lovely bride, Hayley, when she was getting ready in the morning at her hotel room. The sun was shining so I went outside to take some beautiful photos of her wedding dress, bridal bouquet, wedding shoes and other details. Please let’s take a moment to appreciate how adorable were the flower girl’s details too! This was no ordinary flower girl either. Poppy, Hayley and David’s little daughter, took on that role, and she did a great job and looked like an angel.
Hayley’s mum, Poppy, and bridesmaids Sian and Jess were there in the room with the bride for her final touches, all looking beautiful and excited for what was about to happen in just a few minutes… And before we left, I witnessed a very sweet bride and daughter moment when Hayley gave Poppy a ring, because as Hayley told me “she thinks today she’s getting married to mummy” 🙂 *heart melts*

The ceremony room was decorated with bunting and looked lovely. There is where I found a slightly nervous but smiley groom, surrounded by his son Jamie and his groomsmen, and all the guests that were slowly arriving for the ceremony. After being officially named husband and wife, the guests showered the happy couple with a very special confetti, made by Hayley from the flowers David gave her over the last year. Isn’t that amazing?
A special thanks to the wonderful staff at The Runnymede on Thames, specially to Martin, Precious and Katie for making sure the day ran smoothly.
Some family photos and a couple of glasses of bubbly later, it was time for the bouquet toss, and best friend Sian was definitely ready for it, such fun photos of that moment!

The decoration and stationery had some vintage rustic inspiration, with touches of dusky pink and pale green. The table plan ladder looked amazing, and so did that gorgeous semi naked wedding cake or those sweet little wedding favors. Every detail was perfect.
The speeches were warm and funny, and everyone raised their glass to cheer for the new Mr and Mrs!

I took Hayley and David outside for their couple photo shoot, exploring the gardens and beautiful green areas of the venue. The golden light through the trees added a romantic feel to the shoot, and Hayley and David were fantastic! So relaxed and fun, they danced by the river and cuddled in the summer sunshine. We had such a lovely time, definitely one of my favourite moments of the day as a wedding photographer.

Back in the room, after cake cutting, the couple shared a very special moment with daughters Jess and Poppy. They danced with them to Adele’s “Make you feel my love”, and it was so tender and so beautiful to watch.
The song they picked for their first dance as husband and wife was “The one”, by Kodaline. You could tell how much love there was by how tight David was holding his bride, so close to his heart. And so they danced, both with eyes closed, lost in the music and lyrics…

Dear Hayley and David,
I know I say this a lot, but thank you, once again, for sharing such a special moment of your life with me and allowing me to be a little part of it.
I will always keep beautiful memories from your wedding, and I hope every time you look at these photos they will take you back to that amazing day and make you smile.
All my best wishes for this new chapter of your story,
Ana x
