GRACE & NICK – WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT HUNTON PARK DE VERE, HERTFORDSHIRE
Love is definitely in the air! Grace and Nick’s story begins a few years back, when they met up in the clouds, being a pilot and cabin crew, and since then they’ve been traveling the world together, landing in London for their wedding day.
The sun was out that morning, when I arrived to meet Grace and her bridesmaids getting ready in her hotel suite. Grace looked simply gorgeous, she was glowing with happiness. I photographed her bride details while she was finishing her make-up and hair. Look at that bridal bouquet, I loved the colour combination and the flowers she picked, pink, orange and pastels… spring wedding inspiration anyone? 😉
It was Nick’s turn. I went to meet him and get some groom getting ready photos. He looked great and confident, and I could feel the anticipation building up, only a few more minutes to see his bride! Oh, by the way, who said groom’s details are not as important as the bride’s? These airplane cufflinks were the coolest ones I have seen in a long time! I always enjoy photographing details that say something about the couple and their personality.
This wedding took place at a stunning venue in Hertfordshire, Hunton Park De Vere. We were blessed with blue skies and plenty of sunlight that filled every corner of the ceremony room, all white. A dream come true for any wedding photographer!
Nick is of Greek origin, and Grace is from Philippines. One of the things I love the most about being a wedding photographer in London – and Hertfordshire – is that I get to meet wonderful couples that come from different countries and cultures, families from different backgrounds that become one, and all because two people fell in love. The intimate ceremony was lovely, thoughtful poems and readings dedicated to the bride and groom included.
After their wedding breakfast and the groom’s speech, I took the happy couple outside for my favourite part of a wedding day: the couple photo shoot. Grace and Nick were relaxed and so much fun to work with! They even had some creative ideas that turned out amazing, like this “fly away” groom photo you’ll see below! I also had a minute alone with Grace to take some beautiful bridal portraits in that golden backlight. We had a bit of drizzle but she didn’t even blink! After all, even in spring weddings, this is London weather for you!
We went back inside for cake cutting and first dance to a romantic Ed Sheeran’s song. The evening was full of dancing and laughter, specially when Ali G, Austin Powers and Keith Lemon made their entrance and joined the guests on the dance floor!
And with this amazing sparklers send-off, it was a wrap! Can you spot Ali G helping out in the background? 🙂
Dear Grace and Nick,
What a day! Thank you again for allowing me to be part of your beautiful wedding, it was a real pleasure to meet you and your families, thank you for your kindness and for making my job so enjoyable.
Congratulations to the happy duo!
