DIANA & SULAIMAAN WALIMA – ASIAN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT PREMIER BANQUETING, LONDON

Today I am finally blogging about a very gorgeous Walima, definitely one to remember! On January 23rd, Diana and Sulaimaan had their third day of wedding celebrations with all their families and friends, one day after their Nikah – that you can see here. This time, it all started at the stunning Shangri-La Hotel at the world famous The Shard, in London.

Once again, I had the pleasure of working with IamMediaUK Asian wedding videography and, once again, I loved teaming up with them. The views from the hotel room where we met Diana and Sulaimaan were so inspiring… We watched the sun go down and the changing beautiful light allowed us to feel creative and really enjoy the bride and groom preparations and details. Daylight, to sunset and golden hour, to night, it was a dream. I loved taking wedding ring photos, photos of the bride’s shoes and especially bridal portraits because Diana, well, she just looked flawless.

Sulaimaan looked sharp and very elegant, and he even assisted me holding the reflector for his bride’s photos!

The Shard, luxury hotel in the heart of London, has truly breathtaking views. We felt so grateful to have the chance to be in such a high end venue doing what we love. We used every minute we had there. Diana and Sulaimaan were kind, helpful and patient, and trusted us completely standing in the middle of the road, at night, in the freezing wind! We were way too close to being hit by a bus… But, the result? some great photographs that they will now cherish forever.

We continued the night at Premier Banqueting London for Asian weddings in Harrow. It was great to be there again and see how different it looked for this beautiful couple.

Bride and groom made an entrance and joined their guests. There were some Asian wedding traditions on stage, from their Afghanistan and Pakistan heritage, and Diana and Sulaimaan exchanged wedding rings to seal their union.

A very talented violinist accompanied them in their second entrance and added music and entertainment to the cake cutting and the Afghan knife dance tradition, performed by bride’s sister Adieba. What a great moment!

The party started and everyone danced and sang. It was a great end to a great big celebration, where two families, in this Afghan and Pakistani wedding, happily became one.

Thank you once again for putting your trust in us, and for your kindness. You and your family were a dream to work with, you made the job of a wedding photographer so easy!
