DIANA & SULAIMAAN NIKAH – ASIAN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN LONDON
Sulaimaan and Diana became husband and wife when they had their Nikah ceremony on the 22nd of January in London, as part of their four days celebration. The team of wedding videographers at IamMediaUK and me had the real pleasure to be there and capture the day for this lovely couple, so they could keep these memories for the years to come. Here are the highlights in pictures!
A little side note, you don’t want to miss Diana and Sulaimaan’s spectacular Walima day.
One of my favourite parts of a wedding day as a photographer is when the bride is getting ready. When I went upstairs to meet Diana on the day of her Nikah, I could feel her excitement and the sweet anticipation, knowing she would see her groom in just a few minutes.
Her mum, sister and close family came in and joined her for a couple of photos. Both, Diana’s and Sulaimaan’s families were incredibly attentive and kind to us at all times, and when you work with people like that you really go the extra mile to make them happy and give them the best wedding photography you can.
Diana was my first Afghan bride, and was, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful brides I have photographed. She made my job so easy, not only because she looked stunning in red, also because she gave me the time to take some bridal portraits of her and followed my little posing directions to get some lovely shots. And all with a big smile.
After the religious ceremony finished, bride and groom joined their guests to continue celebrating.
At the end of the night, we ran back upstairs with the couple to take some creative shots. We were working in a tiny room, and it was dark outside, but we had some fairy lights covering the window, and a LED panel… some out of focus delicious bokeh and gold tones… the connection between the couple and the laughs… and suddenly the scene was magical 😉
Diana and Sulaimaan,
It was such a joy to be part of that day and I hope you will cherish your photos forever.
